A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to inactive addresses under the very same domain name. For example, an email message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can receive messages from pals or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at a certain moment you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be delivered to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting

You will be able to set up a catch-all email mailbox easily in case you have a shared web hosting account with us. The Email Manager in our in-house created Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet astonishingly easy to work with, and it will allow you to enable various features, including the catch-all one, with only a couple of mouse clicks. All the email addresses that you have created will be enumerated in alphabetical order in this section and on the right-hand side of each of them you’ll notice a small-size "Catch-all" sign. Clicking on it once will activate this option, clicking on it once again will deactivate it. Since you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will inform you if you’ve already got another one with this feature activated or if you’ve got active email forwarding.
